Topic Overview:

This presentation will look at the overlap between EMDR and Synergetic Play Therapy and how clinicians can weave them together when working with children and teens. Specifically we will examine how the SPT Process of Change and the 8 Phases of EMDR complement each other and can be used together. The presentation will deep-dive into two SPT Tenets, the setup and becoming the external regulator. We will explore what the two tenets mean, which EMDR phases they fit in, and clinicians will walk away with skills they can begin to use right away.
